CEMSE Dean’s List Award (2025-2026)

I have been named to the CEMSE Dean’s List for the 2025-2026 academic year in Electrical and Computer Engineering. This is my second consecutive year on the list, following the 2025 recognition.

About the Award
The Dean’s List recognizes the top 20% of the student population in the Division of Computer, Electrical and Mathematical Science and Engineering (CEMSE) at KAUST. Selection is based on recommendations from PhD advisors, so it reflects both coursework performance and the research contribution a student has made to the Division. The recognition carries a one-time award of $2,500.
For 2025-2026, 62 students across CEMSE’s four academic programs were named to the list: Applied Mathematics and Computational Science (AMCS), Computer Science (CS), Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), and Statistics (STAT).
I was notified by Professor Omar Knio, Dean of CEMSE and Vice President for Academic Affairs, in June 2026, and the certificates were presented at a ceremony held on September 2, 2026.

62 students across CEMSE’s four academic programs have been named to the 2025-2026 Dean’s List, in recognition of their exceptional academic achievements. Reaching this milestone reflects the consistency, effort and commitment each student has brought to their academic journey throughout the year.
Reflection
Being recognized twice in a row means more to me than any single year would. The first time tells you the work landed; the second tells you it was not a one-off. Over this past year my research moved from simulation into deployed hardware, with LoRa systems that had to survive real conditions rather than clean assumptions, and that shift demanded a different kind of persistence.
I am grateful to my advisor, Professor Mohamed-Slim Alouini, whose recommendation makes this recognition possible, and to the CEMSE Division for an environment where research effort is tracked and acknowledged.
