I am honored to have been recognized on the CEMSE Dean’s List for exceptional academic achievements and dedication to my research work. This recognition is awarded to the top 20% of the student population in the Division of Computer, Electrical and Mathematical Science and Engineering (CEMSE) at KAUST, based on recommendations from PhD advisors. In acknowledgment of this achievement, I received a one-time monetary award of $2,500.
About the CEMSE Dean’s List
The CEMSE Dean’s List is part of the annual CEMSE Student Research Excellence Awards and Student Academic Accomplishment Awards, which celebrate the talent and achievements of the Division’s students. These prestigious awards are presented around the KAUST Commencement ceremony in recognition of the academic accomplishments and research impact created by leading students across the fields of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science (AMCS), Computer Science (CS), Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), and Statistics (STAT).
Recognition Criteria
Being selected for the Dean’s List reflects exceptional academic performance through consistent excellence in coursework and academic endeavors, outstanding research contributions that significantly impact the university’s academic community, and strong faculty recognition through recommendations from PhD advisors acknowledging research dedication and impact. This recognition is particularly meaningful as it comes from the recommendations of faculty members who have directly observed my research efforts and academic growth.
Reflection
This recognition is deeply meaningful to me as it validates the hard work and dedication I’ve invested in my research. Being acknowledged among the top students in CEMSE motivates me to continue pushing boundaries in my field and contributing to impactful research.
I’m grateful to my advisor, Professor Mohamed-Slim Alouini, for his mentorship and guidance, and to the CEMSE Division for fostering an environment that values both academic excellence and research innovation. This recognition not only celebrates past achievements but also inspires me to continue striving for excellence in my future research endeavors.
